The Dark is not Darkness

New wintery things in the window, January to February in the shop, read about what you could be doing outdoors, make things to keep you warm and alive indoors, run away to a fantasy world and stay in bed or a combination of all of these. Feed the birds, feed the people, make blankets, put up bird boxes for Valentine’s Day, we do the garden bird count every January and watching a feeder in the garden makes for an excellent, gentle past time.

The bookshop allotment is under water in winter, but I read about what I will cook next, from what I grow. I even fill the feeders there from sunflowers we grow there. You don’t need resolutions when you have books and hobbies and interests, learn a new one, read all about old ones, get outside if you want to, it is never too cold, but don’t get lost, we sell maps and guidebooks. Don’t forget the last few thank you cards are in the window, waiting to be sent.  The dark is not darkness said the bookshop baby this week and he is right.
